  Club Swap Meet

  Time for another Swap Meet for our July Club Night! So, bring in your hunting gear for sale.

  We will be setting up a mini-market at the club. Please endeavour if at all possible to have your gear for sale set up on the tables by 6:30pm to give attendees the opportunity to view, and to ensure the smooth operation of the event.

  
  

  All equipment must be clean and in good condition.

  All legal requirements as applicable must be complied with.

  

  So, come along have a bite to eat, a beer and share your stories! We look forward to seeing you all there.

  
  

  Notes to Guests, or guests of members: Our club nights are open to the public, this is a great opportunity to experience the club and see if you want to be part of the Auckland Deerstalkers community.

• Hunter Training 2026

  HUNTER TRAINING #1

  Hunter Training will go over the basics of a number of hunting aspects. This course will start on the 5th of August and take place every Wednesday night for 6 consecutive weeks, and there will be one Saturday scheduled to be a range day during this time. This will be followed by a hunt with a mentor at the end of the course. This does not guarantee you'll get an animal on the hunt, but it will help teach you the skills to get out there and harvest one for yourself. 

  The different modules we will cover:

  Gear tips  -  August 5th

  Rifle set up  -  August 12th 

  Bushcraft  -  August 19th

  Navigation  -  August 26th

  Rifle Handing, Shooting Techniques & Skill (range day)  -  August 30th

  Hunting techniques  -  September 2nd

  Animal preparation  -  September 9th

  
  

  As interest in our Hunter Training is very high, we will be offering it to existing members of Auckland NZDA only. The cost will be $200 per person, the hunt at the end of the course is in addition to this cost and will be discussed during the course. For the range day you should have your own rifle and ammunition.  Targets for the range will be included in the course. You will need a map reading compass prior to the navigation night.

  AUGUST CLUB NIGHT & AGM

  We will be going through our regular Club Night as usual, and then move into our AGM proceedings.

  We kindly thank this year's outgoing Committee whom have worked tirelessly this past year to make the NZDA Auckland Branch so great, and we look forward to welcoming in the new Committee for the year ahead.

  For this special annual event there will be several spot prizes of Reloaders vouchers drawn! Winners will be drawn from those registered and present on the night!

  So, come along and have a bite to eat, a beer, and share your stories! We look forward to seeing you all there.
