The Auckland Branch Prize Shoot is a friendly, hunting style competition shoot, where we invite all keen hunters to compete at our Riverhead Range. 

We will have a few prizes randomly drawn on the day out of the list of attendees, so you have to be in to win! It is worth mentioning that this year every participant will not be receiving a prize like previous years.

SEQUENCE OF EVENTS:

HOW IT WORKS

GATES OPEN: 7:45AM- 10:15AM  

Once you are in the range, you're in for the day so cannot leave early. Please make sure you you bring lots of water and food. There will be a BBQ! We will probably finished up between 3-5pm.

Come along with any caliber CENTRE FIRE rifle and have a blast. There will be 5 mins allowed for sighting in.

It’s a hunting style, shoot, meaning you are not allowed shooting assistants. This includes slings, jackets or gloves. 

4 positions on the 100m range:

• Prone 

• Sitting 

• Kneeling 

• Standing

Plus a 5 shot rapid standing shoot on 25m.  All in 40 seconds!

It is graded shooting, so all experience levels welcome.

Juniors (16 and under) 22lr or centrefire

Seniors – Centrefire only

The entrance to the range is located off Forestry road, please wait at the gate indicated on the map. Note: If you're using google maps, it may try take you along an alternative route, do not follow this.
