Hunter Training Party Hunt: Clements Mill Road

This hunt will round off our Hunter Training for 2024.

We will meet at the Kakapo Campsite on Clements Mill Road in the Kaimanawas Forest Park.  We encourage car pooling to save fuel, money and parking space at the campsite. I will email those attending with a few others who live in the same vicinity to try and organise giving each other a ride. 

The aim for Friday is to just get yourselves down there and set up your tent. We will pair up and hunt Saturday and possibly Sunday if everyone is up for it. 

Please use your newfound navigation skills to find the Kakapo Campsite, it is on the maps we provided for your navigation night. If you are not confident finding this campsite please do reach out prior to heading down there. Please also bring your maps a map reading compass as the area will be split into hunting blocks also covered by both maps. 

There is no hut at the campsite, so you will need to bring everything you would expect to take for an overnight hunt. A list of basic hunting gear required will be sent out via email in the coming days.
