November Special Guest Speaker Night
This month, in addition to our monthly general meeting, we are thrilled to announce we will be hosting a very special Guest Speaker Night on the 25th November at 7:30PM. Note this is in addition to our Monthly General Meeting and is a separate event.
David Seymour, MOP for Epsom and current Leader of the ACT Party for New Zealand will be visiting our branch to talk to our members and guests. David will be talking to the current arms amendment bill and legislation, followed by a Q&A session.
Meeting format:
7:30pm Arrival & Introduction
7:45pm approx. Guest Speaker, David Seymour, MOP Epsom, Leader ACT Party NZ
David Seymour - currently serving as a Member of Parliament for Epsom and the Leader of the ACT Party within New Zealand has been involved with NZ Politics for many years. David has been involved with, and responsible for numerous bills and legislation that have gone through (or are going through) NZ Parliament.
Further to this, David is the only Member of Parliament to oppose the initial and subsequent Arms Amendment Acts that have been passed through NZ Parliament in 2019, voting the only ‘No’ in a landmark vote of 119 to 1.
David recently spoke to the NZDA National Conference Delegates and has made some time to be available to speak with our Branch Members for which we are very honoured to have him attend.
We anticipate this will be a sought after night, so please ensure you RSVP so we have an idea of numbers attending.
