As most will know the Douglas Score is the system used in NZ to measure all of our hunting trophies, it is a relatively straight forward system whereby Antlers, Horns and Pig Tusks are measured up in inches, a score sheet filled out and a final score attained.

Interestingly, Heads of different species can be compared with each other using the system to see which achieve a higher score.

This seminar is all day Sat, examples of our big game heads will be measured under the guidance of our National level Judges and the system explained.  At the end of it attendees will be issued a Level 1 DS certificate, and be able to confidently measure Hunting trophies.

Participation at our Branch measure night, helping measure members heads will also then be encouraged, and is the next step in improving and advancing as a DS measurer.
