Walk In Tops Hunting

What to Expect:
Walk in, tops hunting. 3-4 hours of walking up to the tops for the weekend. You will need to have a good level of fitness and gear to handle camping out above the bush line. This hunt is suited to more experienced members or those just looking to start hunting above the bush line. Please note, temperatures of zero degrees celsius are possible above the bush line at this time of year. Weather will be assessed closer to date and final plan formulated. Sika and red deer are the target species. 

Required Fitness and Experience Level:
Must be able to walk 3-4hrs or 700m up onto the tops with all hunting gear and food for weekend in your pack.  

BYO:
Tent and hunting gear, there are NO huts. Please organise your own DOC hunting permit and fill out the party hunt consent form that will be sent through after registration. 

Arrival:
